Trivia[]
- In Fossil Fighters, Dinomaton was planned to have Quicken being called Accelerator ON!.
- In Fossil Fighters, Dinomaton is immune to every negative status effect except Confusion.
- "Dinomaton" is a combination of the words "dinosaur" and "automaton," a kind of robot.
- It is believed that these dinaurian robots' concepts were based on Zino.
- They may have been inspired by Mechagodzilla (Shōwa version). Both are alien robots based on dinosaurs; they also are both used in order to combat dinosaurs and can fire lasers in order to attack.
- In the Manga, there are more similarities; both are robots that disguise themselves as their counterparts, are controlled by an alien, and get their heads destroyed only to become way more dangerous to everyone around.
- At 9 characters, Dinomaton has the longest name of any vivosaur in Fossil Fighters. This record was later surpassed by 14-character O-Raptor Fiend in Fossil Fighters: Champions and 15-character Crimson Ravager in Fossil Fighters: Frontier.
- Although dinaurians can have two or three Dinomatons in their battle teams, the Hero in either game is only allowed to obtain one.
- Dinomaton's first two skills look exactly like the first two of Zino's in the original Fossil Fighters. In Fossil Fighters: Champions, its model and skills were altered to make them unique, though similar.
- Dinomaton is the only known mechanical vivosaur.
- When Dinomaton's medal is received in Fossil Fighters: Champions, the pop-up notice instead calls it a "Dinaurian Roboguard".
