Favre (ファーブル Fabre) is the main character of the manga series Fossil Fighters: Favre's Dinosaur Chronicles.

Personality[]

Favre is shown to be a bizarre but friendly person. He is very polite to anyone he meets, but also has a more mischievous and playful side. Favre is also known to be a very helpful person, going out of his way to assist others or teach them lessons. He is even willing to face his own fears to help others. Often times his methods are unconventional, but they tend to work out in the end.

Favre is a Master Fighter who lives in Vivosaur Town. One day while digging for fossils, Favre faints over the edge of a canyon from his fear of heights. While he manages to regain consciousness and stick to the cliff face with his pickaxe, he is unable to climb back up. After calling for help, he is saved by Marco. Favre then faints again and is rushed back to town by Marco, who mistakes Favre's T-Rex for a rogue vivosaur. The pair have a meal at a café, during which Favre makes a brief run to the bathroom. Upon returning and seeing that Marco has left to chase after Snivels, Favre rushes to his aid with his T-Rex. Although Snivels and his Jara fly over a canyon to escape the pair, Favre instructs his T-Rex to leap over the canyon. The vivosaurs pass by each other, Favre kicks Snivels, and Marco's bag is safely recovered. With Marco's special fossil rock secured, Favre gives him tips on effective cleaning and provides some wisdom when it is revealed to be a dropping fossil.

Favre is invited as a special guest on a fossil tour to Coldfeet Glacier led by Dr. Diggins. Instead of riding on the ship, Marco makes his way there on the back of his swimming T-Rex with Marco joining him. Once the tour arrives at the glacier, Dr. Diggins tells the legend of how Frigi supposedly lives there but cannot be found. Favre remarks that Frigi must still be alive because the mountains of the glacier are so colorful that only Frigi could have made them. The digging begins and Favre holds a class for Fossil Fighters who need assistance. Meanwhile, the BB Bandit Trio are also present on the glacier and are digging on one of the off-limits mountains. They accidentally awaken Frigi from their slumber and flee as Frigi begins to attack everyone at the dig site. While most of the others flee, Favre stays behind to help Frigi. He uses T-Rex to melt the snow off of Frigi's back, revealing numerous abandoned pickaxes stuck there. Favre removes these pickaxes and boards the ship with the rest of the tour, watching as Frigi creates art for him out of the snow.

Favre aggressively charges into Digadig Village and challenges the Digadig Chieftain to a hip shaking contest. The two compete fiercely, but ultimately Favre is the loser. Despite this the Digadig Chieftain requests Favre's assistance, asking that he enter the Digadigamid to retrieve his granddaughter Jessica's lost Pachy. Favre, Marco, and Jessica all enter the Digadigamid. Jessica argues that vivosaurs are dangerous and is seemingly proven right when Favre's T-Rex bites him on the head. However, they only did this to save Favre from falling down a massive pit. The group discovers Jessica's Pachy but are trapped in the pyramid by the BB Bandit Trio. With no obvious exit, Favre uses T-Rex to begin tunneling a way out of the chamber. Jessica has a change of heart and instructs her Pachy to help as well, delivering the final blow to create a hole out of the Digadigamid. With this, the team returns to Digadig Village safely.

File 4[]

Favre, with assistance from Dr. Diggins, chases down a V-Raptor sent by the BB Bandits carrying a stolen egg which supposedly contains a vivosaur. With some quick thinking Favre manages to retrieve the egg, but it hatches before it can be transported back to town. The newly hatched vivosaur, Squirk, takes off and a search ensues to find them again. In the tall grass where Squirk is hiding, the Fighters find more chicken vivosaurs: Squik, Squirth, and Squilk. One additional egg remains. Although individually weak, the chickens use their powers together to frighten the BB Bandits. The V-Raptor is sent after the final egg, but Favre steps in to protect it, injuring himself in the process. From the egg emerges Squiro, who's fairly timid but moved by the care everyone has shown for them. Squiro uses their power to propel the combined forces of the other chickens towards the V-Raptor, defeating them and scaring off the BB Bandits. Favre and his newfound friends march along through the tall grass.

File 5[]

A bandit using an S-Raptor is apprehended by the Giganto of a Master Fighter named Den. Favre is impressed by the Giganto and inspects it, but Den believes him to be too childish and immature to be a true Master Fighter. He attempts to instigate a battle between them, but these attempts are stopped when a fire breaks out at a nearby building. Favre prevents Den's Giganto from using a dangerous technique that could hurt the people inside the fire and instead prepares his own method. In order to calm down and rescue a boy who won't stop crying, Favre's T-Rex begins publicly urinating. This causes the boy to erupt with laughter, allowing him to be saved from the fires. The building nearly collapses on top of Favre, but his T-Rex knocks the debris out of the way at the last minute. Having earned a better understanding of what it means to be a Master Fighter, Den puts aside his differences with Favre and the two bond as friends.

An icon featuring Favre can be unlocked by battling Ryne in Fossil Fighters: Champions. Favre and Ryne are the lead characters of the two Fossil Fighters manga series written by Makoto Hijioka.
