Sleep (眠り Sleep), represented by the icons and , is a status condition in Fossil Fighters and Fossil Fighters: Champions that prevents the afflicted vivosaur from using skills or swapping to the EZ (though rotation is permitted in Champions) and reduces its Evasion to 0. Sleep normally lasts one turn, but a sleeping vivosaur will wake up if it is hit with an attack (two attacks if afflicted with Super Sleep in Champions) or cured by Rallying Cry or Neutralize. Similar to Poison's association with Water vivosaurs, the Sleep status effect is often associated with Earth-types, Lexo, Pelto, and Arsith being three of the most notable examples.
Vivosaurs with the Sleepy ability will enter battle afflicted with Super Sleep.
Zombiesaurs are immune to Sleep statuses, and Dinomaton is immune to them in Fossil Fighters only.
