Trivia[]

  • Mapo's fossils are incorrectly shaped like those of the tyrannosaurids. In actuality, it was more closely related to Carchar and Giganto.
  • Mapo's design may be a stylized form of rock since the name "Mapusaurus" means "Earth Lizard".
  • Rupert has a Mapo when Todd battles him at Treasure Lake, but Mapo can't be found until the Dig Site Icegrip Plateau becomes available. This could mean that Mapo was Rupert's starter vivosaur.
    • This is further supported by Rupert's fondness of Mapo, as he uses Mapo (and its super evolver) in every battle in the game.
  • Not including Team Skills, those used by super evolvers, or those used by special vivosaurs such as Zongazonga, Mapo's Conqueror Special skill has the highest FP cost of any skill, at 320. It shares this trait with Pendem.
