Rotation is an effect caused by certain moves. In Fossil Fighters, this was refered to as "Knock", as a Vivosaur would be sent to the EZ from the AZ. In Fossil Fighters: Champions, there was a change. Now, those skills will shift the position of the Vivosaurs. In addition, the player can manually rotate their own team at the cost of 5 FP per spot, which can amount to a maximum of 15 FP to shift the maximum number of spaces.
There are two things that stop a team from being rotated. First, the Status Effect Excite, which prevents the player from manually rotating their team. However, the effects of attacks can still rotate the team. The other is Position Lock, an ability that prevents the effects of attacks from rotating the team, but still allows for manual rotation.
