- Shuno is among the two sauropod vivosaurs with a clubbed tail. The other is Menchi.
- It appears to have a Chinese character on its sides.
- The pattern along its back bears resemblance to scales, similar to the traditional depiction of a Chinese dragon.
- Shuno's markings were changed from a dull scarlet color in Fossil Fighters to dark cherry red in Fossil Fighters: Champions.
